We take pride in knowing the peace of mind that we can provide for our customers. Here’s another example of how we C.A.R.E. for our clients.
“Steven and his coworkers were amazing. Each of them was very respectful, informative, timely, and non-disruptive. We had cameras put into our salon, and even with heavy foot traffic they managed not to disturb anyone. I look forward to being their customer from now on!”
“Security Central was very efficient and very quick. The people who serviced me were very professional and friendly.”
April 20th seemed like a carefree spring day as the two 11-year-old girls rode their bikes together through their gated community in Lone Tree. However, their fun quickly turned to terror as two men in a white van pulled up next to the girls and grabbed one of them. The girls screamed and were able to get away from the grasp of the man in the passenger seat as the van sped away.
The girls frantically rode home and reported the incident to their parents and the Lone Tree Police. The police contacted Security Central right away, knowing that Security Central manages the video surveillance system at the entrances to the gated community.
The detectives briefed Security Central on the details of the alleged incident and requested immediate assistance in trying to identify the white van that the girls described. Thanks to Security Central’s Managed Video Services, the Security Central staff identified the suspect vehicle and delivered to the Lone Tree Police Department recorded video footage of the van along with photos of its license plate within an hour of the incident. Later that evening the Lone Tree P.D. arrested the two men who were in the van. The young girls and an entire community slept much better that night knowing the predators were behind bars.
Tracy R. was sleeping soundly when she was jolted awake by the alarm siren blaring outside her bedroom. It was the middle of the night. Tracy was alone, as her husband was traveling for work, and she didn’t know what was happening.
Before she could even get out of bed to assess the situation, Security Central Quick-C.A.R.E. Responder Alexis was ringing Tracy’s cell phone. Alexis advised Tracy that we received an alarm signal from her back door and asked if Tracy was all right. Tracy was unsure why the back door alarm triggered; there was not supposed to be anyone else in the house. Tracy was scared, fearing someone may have broken through her back door.
Alexis calmly reassured Tracy that Alexis would notify the police. Alexis then instructed Tracy to lock her bedroom door and stay there until the police arrived. Alexis proceeded to stay on the phone with Tracy, calming her and updating her on the status of her alarm system.
When the police arrived, they discovered that the back door had not been latched completely and blew open in the wind. Tracy was relieved to know everything was okay. But she repeatedly thanked Alexis for staying with her on the phone to “hold her hand” during her time of fear. You’re welcome, Tracy. That’s what we do…we C.A.R.E. for our customers.
Dave B.’s vintage home near Washington Park has a detached garage that backs to an alley. The dark, secluded alley made the garage an easy target for burglars on the prowl.
Thieves broke in and stole Dave’s custom bicycles, specialty tools, and other valuables. Dave, of course, felt angry and violated.
In response, Dave had a security system installed to protect the garage as well as his house. A while later, the thieves came back, intent on stealing the new items that Dave may have purchased to replace the stolen goods. Little did the criminals know that they tripped a silent alarm in the garage when they broke in this time.
The Security Central Quick-C.A.R.E. center immediately notified Dave and the Denver Police Department of the alarm incident. The brazen burglars were still rummaging through the garage when the police arrived! Now there are two less burglars prowling the Wash Park area.
St. Mark Catholic Church in Highlands Ranch, like most churches, relies on hundreds of volunteers to serve the congregation. However, with so many different people needing entry to the facility at different times of day and night, managing the keys and security of the facility soon became a nightmare.
Too many keys unaccounted for. Too many people coming and going without proper supervision. Too many doors left unlocked after hours. They recognized that their current manual key system was not working, so they purchased a traditional card-access keyless entry system.
The P.C.-based system did help solve some of the challenges they faced in managing their building access. However, they soon ran into new problems. The access system software was complicated to use. The person who had been trained on the system moved away. The computer that ran the system crashed.
Fortunately, Security Central was able to eliminate all of those problems by updating the keyless entry system to a Security Central EasyAccess system. The web-based system simplified their facility management by removing the on-site computer and software burden and replacing it with an easy-to-use web interface.
Now St. Mark’s staff can focus on ministering to their congregation while Security Central manages the access to their facility.
McDonald Automotive, a large, multi-brand car dealer on South Broadway in Littleton, was plagued by thieves regularly breaking into cars on their back lots during non-business hours. The vehicle crimes were causing significant losses of valuable car parts and were disrupting daily operations and customer service.
Security Central had protected the McDonald Automotive buildings for years, so the McDonald management turned to Security Central for help. Security Central designed and installed an active, video- monitoring system for the vehicle parking areas.
The video alarm system detects intruders, transmits video of the incident to our 24-hour Quick-C.A.R.E. center, and enables our Quick-C.A.R.E. Responders to communicate audible warnings over the P.A. system to thwart potential crimes. The system put an immediate stop to further vehicle break-ins and losses. Now the McDonald management can focus on serving their customers instead filling out police reports.
When the Parker Adventist Hospital opened, it boasted the latest life-saving technology, including its fire alarm system. The fire alarm system had over 1,000 detectors protecting the patients and staff in the large facility. The state-of-the-art fire alarm was able to pinpoint the location of a detected fire and report that critical information.
The Parker Fire Department was delighted to know that their first-responders would be able to react faster by knowing exactly where to respond within the building. There was just one problem: The well-known national company that installed the fire alarm system did not have sufficient monitoring capabilities to handle the large number of detection points.
Therefore, the Parker Fire Marshal instructed the hospital to find a monitoring service who could properly monitor and report all of the information that the system was capable of providing. Since Security Central monitored the other Adventist Hospitals in the area, the Director of Safety contacted Security Central for help. Of course, Security Central was able to provide exactly the level of service that the fire marshal required.
The fire marshal was so pleased, he came to the Security Central Quick-C.A.R.E. facility to watch the testing of the system from our monitoring perspective. He was ecstatic to see how his fire fighters could have pinpoint fire information relayed to their personal communication devices as they charge into a potentially disastrous and dangerous situation. He concluded, “That will save lives!”
As a fireman, Ron understood the devastation that fires can cause. Therefore, when he moved into his new home in the Stonegate subdivision of Parker, he chose to include monitored smoke detectors with his security system.
A few years later, Ron’s teenage daughter left a candle burning in her basement-level bathroom when she went to school that morning. The candle ignited some rolls of toilet paper that were stored next to the toilet.
Fortunately, the alarm system smoke detector that was located in the basement just outside of the bathroom detected the smoke and sent a signal to the Security Central Quick-C.A.R.E. monitoring center. The Quick-C.A.R.E. Responders immediately notified the Parker Fire Dept.
When the fire trucks arrived, the firemen were able to quickly extinguish the fire while it was still contained in the bathroom. The firemen told Ron that if the fire had just a few more minutes to grow, it would have penetrated through the basement ceiling and mushroomed throughout the entire house! Thanks to the Security Central fire monitoring system, Ron’s damage was contained to just the bathroom. Ron told us, “I’ve responded to a lot of fire alarms. Never did I imagine that I would have a real fire at MY house!”
Rental car facilities typically have many shiny, new cars sitting on their lots. Those cars can be tempting for any car thief. Enterprise Rent-a-Car has many locations in urban and suburban areas, leaving them more exposed than the companies that only serve airports. Enterprise knows from experience that they are a target.
That’s why they rely on Security Central to help protect their Colorado locations. At a Denver location recently, the Security Central alarm system foiled another attempted break-in to steal cars. The intruders thought they could break in through the back door of the shop in the dark alley without being noticed.
But the Security Central alarm system certainly noticed them as soon as they broke the window of the door. The blaring siren and the immediate response of the Quick-C.A.R.E. Responder sent the criminals scurrying before they could penetrate the building and get to the vehicle keys.
Enterprise Regional Manager, Andy Stokes, reported, “The alarm system did exactly what it was supposed to; it stopped the significant loss of stolen vehicles.”
Marvin and Judy built one of the premier homes in Cherry Hills. With over 20,000 exquisite square feet, the home took over four years to complete. Every detail of the home was carefully crafted, from imported marble flooring to intricate woodwork and specialized wall coverings to display the many pieces of original artwork.
Marvin and Judy recognized not only their need for security, but also the threat of damage caused by environmental disasters such as water leaks or flooding. Therefore, they chose to have water leakage sensors included with their monitored security and fire alarm system.
That decision proved to be very wise, as a few years later one of their washing machines on the upper level ruptured and began discharging water onto the floor. The water leakage sensor detected the water beginning to puddle on the floor. The alarm system then shut off the main water supply to the house and sent an alert signal to the Security Central Quick-C.A.R.E. monitoring center so we could notify Judy of the problem.
Thanks to the water leakage sensor and the water-shut-off-valve, the water damage that occurred was limited to the immediate laundry room area. Without the flood detection of their alarm system, the water would have continued to discharge indefinitely, causing unknown damage to irreplaceable artwork and craftsmanship.
